Travel planning takes time and careful consideration of what works, what should be reserved in advance, and what can create challenges down the road. By relying on a travel specialist, you benefit from practical advice, expert guidance, and a well-designed vacation that makes the most of your time in Western Canada.

Minimum Planning Fee

• $175 USD per adult

Please note that our travel planning services are available only for clients who book accommodations through our office. We do not provide itinerary planning for travelers who choose to book hotels and services independently.

Additional fees may apply for unusually complex itineraries or extensive revisions. A 10% service fee applies to reservations canceled after confirmation.

Your itinerary is built around how you prefer to travel—whether that involves driving, rail, guided touring, or a combination of all three. Each option is evaluated based on your interests, travel style, budget, and the experiences you hope to enjoy along the way.

I will share my recommendations, explain the advantages and limitations of each option, and help you choose the approach that makes the most sense for your vacation. The goal is to create a journey that is enjoyable, practical, and makes the best use of your time in Western Canada.

Timing plays an important role in shaping your vacation experience. Together, we consider seasonal factors such as weather, access to key areas, and visitor volume to determine the timing that best aligns with your priorities.

Summer offers access to high-alpine areas, wildflower meadows, and the brilliant blue and turquoise colors of glacier-fed lakes.

Spring brings opportunities to view wildlife and their young. Visitors arriving in May and early June should be aware that lakes such as Lake Louise may still be partially or completely frozen.

Autumn often brings mild temperatures, golden larch and aspen forests, fewer crowds, and the same stunning turquoise lake views that visitors associate with the Canadian Rockies.

Winter reveals a slower, snow-covered landscape with opportunities for winter sports.

Planning a trip to the Canadian Rockies involves a series of important decisions. This information is designed to guide you through the process of creating a well-structured itinerary in Banff & Jasper National Parks.

➤ How Reservations Are Handled

All travel arrangements are confirmed using the client’s credit card and are paid directly to the hotel, rail company, tour provider, or car rental agency. No funds for travel services are collected by my office. My role is to manage planning, coordination, and reservations with carefully selected, vetted suppliers.
